Well It’s been a while, and for that I am sorry. Casey Neistat has encouraged me to get back to blogging. It’s better to do something that isn’t perfect than to do nothing at he said in a fantastic interview with another motivating figure Tim Ferris.
Well guess what I’m temporarily the Man About DC. If you didn’t know, I’m in the Air National Guard and the government asked me to be awesome for six months. I’m just hoping I don’t have to “educate” some high-ranking officials and get in some trouble.
I left my wonderful Knoxville and drove up to the big city at an early 5am one morning. You can watch the drive below. Living in NY and Chicago has made me no stranger to big cities. So naturally I got a hotel in Dupont Circle trying to find a place to live for the first week. After the first day of driving to work, I chose to look elsewhere. So, technically I’m the Man About Alexandria. It is great with great food and also nice to walk around in.
I’ve had visitors already and seen a lot of the sites. I still love the National Archives and seeing those wonderful documents written a couple hundred years ago. The American History has the Star Bangled Banner exhibit, which is really cool, but the rest of the museum is hit or miss depending on what’s there. However Abe Lincoln’s hat is pretty cool too. Details on all are coming.
Just wanted to give you an update and promise to blog a lot more.
